PROJECT SCOPE: Brand Identity, Packaging Design, Line Extension System, Art Direction, Copywriting, Production Coordination
TOOLS USED: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva
PROJECT OVERVIEW: Alexandra’s Pikliz is a line of Haitian-inspired condiments including Pikliz, Hot Honey, Hot Sauce, and Hot Honey Sauce. The founder set out to modernize traditional flavors and introduce them to a wider audience through a premium grocery and specialty retail channel. The goal of the project was to build a visual identity and packaging system that honored the cultural roots of the product while feeling contemporary, shelf-ready, and scalable as new SKUs are introduced.
The design solution leaned on bold typography, layered color, and a confident layout structure to communicate heat, vibrancy, and flavor without resorting to the typical visual tropes seen in the hot sauce and condiment category. The system was built to balance storytelling with clarity — making the brand feel both authentic and commercially viable.
COMPLETED AS: Solo Project
